4th of July

We've been busy this summer and it seems like the summer is just flying by! SLOW DOWN SUMMER!!!

4th of July we hung out with Lee's brother and his wife. The plan was to have my sister in law take our family pictures on our way up to Horseshoe lake but we didn't find the perfect spot like we were hoping but we managed to get these at the lake...

Those pics were as good as it got. Then everyone went swimming and had fun and we didn't get fully dressed to try more pictures after swimming. Darn. That just means I'll be rescheduling family pics with my sis in law soon haha Landon was the only one who would hold still long enough to let her take a good close up pic. :) I wish I had some of the others.

Swimming was great at horseshoe lake. the horse flies were pretty bad but my doterra oil bug spray kept them away really well! LOVE that stuff! Maylee was having the time of her life in the water splashing and crawling around. The water was nice and warm and then we started seeing BIG FAT DISGUSTING LEECHES!!!!!!!!! no joke. That got us out of the water fast. They were just in the nice warm shallow area of the lake where it was perfect for maylee to play but obviously we got out after they started showing up :( the boys kept swimming out towards the middle of the lake and had fun and were unscathed by the leeches.

after horseshoe lake we went back home and laid around and hung out until it was time to go watch fireworks! :) It was a fun fourth.

Kindergarten Graduation!

I'm finally updating my blog! wow! It only took me 9 months. Whoops!
Last Thursday 6/4/15 Landon had his last day of school and Kindergarten Graduation! He loves school and can't wait to go back and be in First Grade!

Love the cowboy boots sticking out from under his robe haha

They had a cute little program at the high school auditorium and sang songs and had parts they each went up to the microphone and said. Landon's part was " A says a like Andy Apple" He did great! I recorded it on my camera but it's too big to share on here...I tried lol This pic is a pic of him and everyone in his B-day class (tues thursday and friday afternoon). A-day is on the other side of the stage.

After the little program there was treats in the cafeteria. It was really cute watching all these little kindergartners running around in caps and gowns! haha

Meeting her Brother's Maylee's first day home!

Here is Maylee's first day home! I'm trying to catch up in blog posts so I'm going to do a little here and there so it's not so overwhelming cuz I have A LOT of pictures of her first couple weeks lol.
Drake meeting Maylee

I love how little babies always look in their carseats wheen they're brand new.

Zeke holding Maylee. He got to have his turn first! He was so excited she was finally home! The boys didn't get to see her in the hospital because children under 18 weren't allowed to go up to the mother baby unit because of the Enterovirus going around. So they had only seen pictures and a video up until now! (Sadly Landon was at school so he had to wait until he was out of school to see her.)

Drake's turn! He just loved her. It doesn't look like it but he was smitten. He through a fit until it was his turn to hold her and then he didn't want to give her up.

GG's turn!

Drake decided it needed to be his turn again 2 seconds after GG got the baby haha this is a frequent occurrence in our house! haha

Zeke's turn again since his turn was cut short the first time.

Yay Landon's home from school and ready for his turn! He was so excited! My mom and the other two boys went and walked him home from school and when he came in the house the first thing he did was ask for Maylee cuz he wanted to hold her! So cute! I just love how much these boys love their baby sister!

First attempt at getting a picture of all three boys and Maylee....Yeah didn't happen cuz Drake was upset he wasn't holding the baby and then he was too offended to want to hold her for another attempt at a picture so we put him to bed lol They all have matching Big Brother shirts.

So we tried again with just the two older boys and these were the best we got haha

Big Brother's and their Maylee Belle!
I just looooove the picture of Landon and Maylee. He is such a good big brother.

GG and her grandbabies!

I just love the pictures I've seen with babies and their hospital bracelets on. So naturally I needed one of the three of us and our hospital bracelets. Daddy Mommy and Maylee.

In my last post I mentioned that Maylee was born with skin tags that looked like extra fingers! Well here's the proof.

Maylee's Right hand and extra finger!

Maylee's left hand and extra finger!
Crazy right?! haha who knows why my kids like to grow extra fingers (Zeke had an extra skin tag too)  luckily they're easily removed and don't require a surgery or anything crazy. Maylee had her's removed at her 3day check up. They just tied a string around the base of each one to cut off the blood flow and then cut it off  and cauterized the end of it. She didn't seem overly upset about it. She was more mad that they were holding her hand still then anything else. They seem to be healing up just fine but the one on her left hand they didn't trim it close enough to her hand so we might have to get that one re done but we'll see.

Well, I need to go and do some serious cleaning in my Kitchen while Maylee and Drake are both still asleep it's a disaster zone thanks to the kid who likes to throw his food when he's done with it and dump out cups of water or juice if they're left out on the table *sigh*...Drake!

The princess has arrived!

 Maylee Belle McIntier arrived
September 15th 2014 at 5:36am on her due date!

She weighed in at 8 lbs 2oz and 20inches long!

So Saturday night 9/13 my mom drove down from Spokane. I had my induction scheduled for Monday September 15th so since we knew for sure baby would be here by then, my mom came up to stay the week. Saturday and Sunday passed I had lots of braxton hicks like I had been having for the past couple weeks but no real labor. So by Sunday night I had given up and resigned myself to induction and was actually looking forward to not having to be in labor in the car for the 30min drive to the hospital and then I woke up Monday morning at 1:30am with contractions coming every 2 mins and lasting for a good solid minute. I was nauseous so I got up and went to the bathroom and ended up throwing up a couple times. Contractions kept coming and I had to breathe through them and I was feeling them in my back a bit too (ew back labor I hate you.) Lee got up and came to help me out since I was puking and my puking woke my mom up so as soon as I finally quit puking I tried calling my midwife to let her know I was leaving my house ( she lives in Idaho Falls so she has a 30min drive as well to the hospital and they like to talk to you before you come just to make sure you're really in labor.) Well the office number is supposed to forward you to the hospital when it's after hours but for whatever reason it wasn't working and I was hurting so I threw the phone at Lee and told him to call the Labor and Delivery number that I was supposed to be calling that morning to find out what time to go in for my induction and the L&D nurses answered and we found out my midwife was already at the hospital and delivering another baby so they told us just to come up. I have to admit I had a little selfish moment and told my mom " It's not fair I'm not supposed to be in labor on the way to the hospital!" haha She just laughed at me and told me it's a good thing she's coming on her own. And really I am so happy she came on her own but I had just gotten use to the idea of no pain on the way to the hospital and really liked that idea haha. So anyways we were out the door by 2:15am and the drive wasn't as bad as I was dreading. My contractions actually slowed down to every 5mins but still just as intense and I just relaxed and breathed through them and relaxed in between and took them one at a time telling myself the pain was good that i was dilating and effacing and baby would be here soon and before I knew it we were at the hospital! We got all checked in I was dilated to 4-4.5cm and the baby was still in a -3 station (really high not even in my pelvis at all)  and since I was having back labor I just decided I wanted an epidural.  I wanted this to be a nice comfortable and relaxed birth unlike my last one. So around 4 I got my epidural and it was in and working and I was dilated to  5.5cm so Rachel my midwife broke my water to really get things moving.  Rachel told me she delivered 5 babies already that weekend and had given up hope that I was coming in while she was on call but lucky for us she got to deliver Maylee. So since I had an epidural and Rachel had been up for who knows how long delivering a baby just before I got there and several other babies all weekend she asked if she could go get a quick nap before I started pushing and I told her yes please do but you probably only have an hour haha and I was pretty right on cuz Maylee was born at 5:36am! I pushed 4 or 5 times and she was out! I could feel the pressure to push which was nice. the first 2-3 pushes I got her head out and lee told me she had lots of hair! Then the next two pushes was getting her shoulders out. She was actually born with her arm up against her chest which is why it took two big pushes to get the rest of her out I felt the extra stretching even with my epidural and I'm glad I had it. And lucky me I didn't tear at all :) Rachel told me she was afraid there was shoulder dystocia since she wasn't coming out so easy at the shoulders but it turned out just to be her arm against her chest. Lee said they were pulling on her head pretty good to get the rest of her out haha. I just remember pushing that last push and all of a sudden I had a baby on my chest! It took her a little bit to cry but she finally did and then she immediately started rooting around and wanting to nurse! I couldn't believe it she was like  2mins old and thought she was starving. She latched on right away and has been  awesome at nursing. Overall it was a nice quick and easy labor. Exactly what I needed. after she came out I told Lee "I'm so happy she's still a girl!" haha Lee had asked me on the way to the hospital " what if she comes out a boy?!" And a little after she was born Lee was asking me "what do I do with a girl?" haha I love watching him with her it's so cute! Daddies and their little girls are the cutest thing ever! So happy to finally have a girl! I'm loving it even more than I thought I could!

Oh and Maylee was actually born with two extra little skin tags that looked like fingers! one on each pinky! I'll post pictures in my next post. Zeke was actually born with one too. so it was kinda funny it happened again but she had one on each pinky where Zeke just had one on his one pinky. She was just overachieving with growing fingers haha The nurses and midwife said it's really pretty common for babies to have extra skin tags but hers were so well developed they were impressed lol

We are soooo in love!
These top two pictures were taken a little after 7am after she got her bath :) the nurse put little bows in her hair! :)
Dad's first time holding her :) he took a nap shortly after she arrived haha So we don't have any pictures of her on the scale or getting her first bath but that's ok.
A little bit later probably around 10am we switched over from labor and delivery to the mother baby unit. :)

 So happy she's here!

The hospital wasn't allowing kids 18 and under into the mother baby unit because of the Enterovirus D68 outbreaks so the boys had to wait until we got home to meet Maylee. So sad. Landon was really disappointed but I understand why they weren't allowing it. My mom came up and saw Maylee and took lots of pictures and a couple videos on her ipad for the boys to hold them over :)

 Daddy and his baby girl

Just being cute and wide eyed in the middle of the night lol

All dressed up and ready to go home to meet her brothers!
