The princess has arrived!

 Maylee Belle McIntier arrived
September 15th 2014 at 5:36am on her due date!

She weighed in at 8 lbs 2oz and 20inches long!

So Saturday night 9/13 my mom drove down from Spokane. I had my induction scheduled for Monday September 15th so since we knew for sure baby would be here by then, my mom came up to stay the week. Saturday and Sunday passed I had lots of braxton hicks like I had been having for the past couple weeks but no real labor. So by Sunday night I had given up and resigned myself to induction and was actually looking forward to not having to be in labor in the car for the 30min drive to the hospital and then I woke up Monday morning at 1:30am with contractions coming every 2 mins and lasting for a good solid minute. I was nauseous so I got up and went to the bathroom and ended up throwing up a couple times. Contractions kept coming and I had to breathe through them and I was feeling them in my back a bit too (ew back labor I hate you.) Lee got up and came to help me out since I was puking and my puking woke my mom up so as soon as I finally quit puking I tried calling my midwife to let her know I was leaving my house ( she lives in Idaho Falls so she has a 30min drive as well to the hospital and they like to talk to you before you come just to make sure you're really in labor.) Well the office number is supposed to forward you to the hospital when it's after hours but for whatever reason it wasn't working and I was hurting so I threw the phone at Lee and told him to call the Labor and Delivery number that I was supposed to be calling that morning to find out what time to go in for my induction and the L&D nurses answered and we found out my midwife was already at the hospital and delivering another baby so they told us just to come up. I have to admit I had a little selfish moment and told my mom " It's not fair I'm not supposed to be in labor on the way to the hospital!" haha She just laughed at me and told me it's a good thing she's coming on her own. And really I am so happy she came on her own but I had just gotten use to the idea of no pain on the way to the hospital and really liked that idea haha. So anyways we were out the door by 2:15am and the drive wasn't as bad as I was dreading. My contractions actually slowed down to every 5mins but still just as intense and I just relaxed and breathed through them and relaxed in between and took them one at a time telling myself the pain was good that i was dilating and effacing and baby would be here soon and before I knew it we were at the hospital! We got all checked in I was dilated to 4-4.5cm and the baby was still in a -3 station (really high not even in my pelvis at all)  and since I was having back labor I just decided I wanted an epidural.  I wanted this to be a nice comfortable and relaxed birth unlike my last one. So around 4 I got my epidural and it was in and working and I was dilated to  5.5cm so Rachel my midwife broke my water to really get things moving.  Rachel told me she delivered 5 babies already that weekend and had given up hope that I was coming in while she was on call but lucky for us she got to deliver Maylee. So since I had an epidural and Rachel had been up for who knows how long delivering a baby just before I got there and several other babies all weekend she asked if she could go get a quick nap before I started pushing and I told her yes please do but you probably only have an hour haha and I was pretty right on cuz Maylee was born at 5:36am! I pushed 4 or 5 times and she was out! I could feel the pressure to push which was nice. the first 2-3 pushes I got her head out and lee told me she had lots of hair! Then the next two pushes was getting her shoulders out. She was actually born with her arm up against her chest which is why it took two big pushes to get the rest of her out I felt the extra stretching even with my epidural and I'm glad I had it. And lucky me I didn't tear at all :) Rachel told me she was afraid there was shoulder dystocia since she wasn't coming out so easy at the shoulders but it turned out just to be her arm against her chest. Lee said they were pulling on her head pretty good to get the rest of her out haha. I just remember pushing that last push and all of a sudden I had a baby on my chest! It took her a little bit to cry but she finally did and then she immediately started rooting around and wanting to nurse! I couldn't believe it she was like  2mins old and thought she was starving. She latched on right away and has been  awesome at nursing. Overall it was a nice quick and easy labor. Exactly what I needed. after she came out I told Lee "I'm so happy she's still a girl!" haha Lee had asked me on the way to the hospital " what if she comes out a boy?!" And a little after she was born Lee was asking me "what do I do with a girl?" haha I love watching him with her it's so cute! Daddies and their little girls are the cutest thing ever! So happy to finally have a girl! I'm loving it even more than I thought I could!

Oh and Maylee was actually born with two extra little skin tags that looked like fingers! one on each pinky! I'll post pictures in my next post. Zeke was actually born with one too. so it was kinda funny it happened again but she had one on each pinky where Zeke just had one on his one pinky. She was just overachieving with growing fingers haha The nurses and midwife said it's really pretty common for babies to have extra skin tags but hers were so well developed they were impressed lol

We are soooo in love!
These top two pictures were taken a little after 7am after she got her bath :) the nurse put little bows in her hair! :)
Dad's first time holding her :) he took a nap shortly after she arrived haha So we don't have any pictures of her on the scale or getting her first bath but that's ok.
A little bit later probably around 10am we switched over from labor and delivery to the mother baby unit. :)

 So happy she's here!

The hospital wasn't allowing kids 18 and under into the mother baby unit because of the Enterovirus D68 outbreaks so the boys had to wait until we got home to meet Maylee. So sad. Landon was really disappointed but I understand why they weren't allowing it. My mom came up and saw Maylee and took lots of pictures and a couple videos on her ipad for the boys to hold them over :)

 Daddy and his baby girl

Just being cute and wide eyed in the middle of the night lol

All dressed up and ready to go home to meet her brothers!

Bump before baby

September 7th Took these belly bump pictures on my birthday! 38 weeks 6 days.

Happy Birthday to me! :) such a yummy cake Lee and the boys made for me!

I had really wanted to take some maternity pictures with lee and get family pictures outside done before Maylee arrived but me and my sister in law just couldn't seem to get together to get them done so I had to do something fun for a maternity picture and here they are:

We took these Saturday night (9-13-14) just 2 days before Miss Maylee arrived!

And here is my  bump compilation! apparently I started taking pictures at 20 weeks when I got my new phone I have no idea where my old phone or old sd card is to check to see if I took any earlier bump pictures but that's ok cuz I really didn't start showing much until 20 weeks.
I can't believe how fast this pregnancy flew by and that our baby girl is here already and we're enjoying every second of her!

Birthday weekend and stuff

I had THE BEST birthday weekend ever! My birthday was the 7th and this year it was on a Sunday so we celebrated on Saturday the day before. Lee had it all planned out and wouldn't tell me anything! The kids were off at the babysitters for the day and I was anxiously awaiting what he had come up with!

First it was off for lunch and we ate at Millhollow ( Sandwhich and frozen yogurt place I used to work at it's sooooo good) then it was time for my first surprise which turned out to be a pedicure manicure!  My friend had actually  just glitter painted my toes so I didn't get them painted but they let me soak my feet and smoothed them out and then I got a nice long foot massage :) They did put a clear coat on my toes which made them so sparkley! Then right after the pedicure was a manicure which included hand massage! I just got a light sheer color that shimmers purple in the light :) While I was getting my manicure Lee went and picked up my ring at the jewelers across the street (he dropped it off to get cleaned while I was getting my pedicure) it came back looking brand new and sparkley I just love getting it cleaned and it hadn't been done in FOREVER.

manicure and sparkly clean ring!

Pedicure!

After that my next surprise was a prenatal massage at a place called the massage place. The lady that did it was LDS and made me feel very comfortable it was so nice! I'd never had a massage ever so it was an extra treat getting one while I'm 9 months prego. she started with my feet and went up my legs and worked on my hips (which felt soooo good) and then I laid on my left side while she massaged my back then she did my other side then my arms and neck and shoulders and head and oh my it was heavenly! I could have just fallen asleep right there! It was an hour long massage and ended just in time for my next surprise which was going back to the salon and getting my hair cut and colored! It desperately needed it and I love the color! I love walking out of the salon with your hair all done and looking awesome. I wish I had someone to do my hair everyday so it would look just as good!

(Sunday Sept. 7th before church) showing off my new hair :)

After my hair appt was finished it was just after 5 so we headed over to Applebee's for dinner and a free birthday dessert :) the food was great and the dessert was even better we got the triple chocolate meltdown cake. After dinner we went to the cheap theater to see Maleficent and it was soooo good! I started having uncomfortable contractions towards the end of the movie and was getting excited hoping they'd turn into labor and I could end the perfect day with a baby so we headed over to the park by the hospital and started walking around the park at like 9:00pm lol I was so hoping it would work but they ended up dying off :( It would have been perfect to go into labor while we were already in Rexburg and had a babysitter that would gladly spend the night with the kids but obviously it wasn't in the cards for darn it. So we headed home around 9:30ish. It was so fun getting thoroughly spoiled from head to toe and feeling like whole new person. Sunday on my actual birthday I just got to be lazy and hang out while the boys spoiled me again and got me anything I wanted. Greatest birthday ever :)

A bunch of girly goodies that came in the mail yesterday! :) I ordered these hair bows from The Hair bow Company. The polka dotted daisy's I actually got off Etsy though.

I made 3 more hairbow holders to hold all the new bows that arrived in the mail. I didn't put smaller loops on these though. Do you think she has enough bows? Me either hahaha

Yesterday I also sewed up some burp cloths for little miss! I love the cloth diaper minky burp cloths. I have a few other colored cloth diapers to make into burp cloths too but I need to get some coordinating fabric for them first. These were all just from what i had on hand :)

Last week we canned some peaches! we did two batches and got 16 quarts. It would have been 18 quarts but two exploded :( I think I packed them too tight...we still have some peaches and I'm hoping to make peach fruit leather from it!

 39 Weeks 2 Days
Here's the belly today! The picture on the left I was trying to get a picture of my belly button sticking out! It has never poked out with any of my other pregnancies so I had to get a picture of it this time! haha

I'm so ready to meet this baby girl! I keep telling myself TODAY IS THE DAY! so maybe TODAY will actually be THE day! lol I'm going to go do some dishes and then dance around and try to get her here! :) Wish me luck! I need all the best labor vibes I can get!

Baby Shower August 16th 2014

So I'm totally late at posting about this baby shower! Whoops! But it happened August 16th at my Sister in law Kandice's house in Rigby. (That was the weekend before we left for Spokane for Tawny's wedding so I didn't have time to blog about it before we left and forgot until now.)

She made all the decorations and it was pink lemonade themed! I LOVE pink and yellow together it's my favorite girly happy summer colors :)
It's a girl banner!

She made this little canvas decoration and gave it to me to have. It's in Maylee's room :)
it says: Girl {noun} 1. a giggle with glitter on it.

getting all set up!

Of course we had to have pink lemonade and this was a cranberry pineapple lemonade soooo yummy!

I got some super cute outfits from Lee's aunts and cousins who came to my shower! There were a few more gifts I got that aren't pictured but everything was equally cute and girly :)

Lee's aunts made this gorgeous quilt! I loooove and the girly cute colors in it! They are such awesome quilters! the back is a coordinating pale yellow that has little pink and purple flowers all over it. :)

It was so nice of everyone to come out and celebrate the pending arrival of Maylee! Everyone is so excited for us we feel so loved :)
