29 weeks!!!

The bump at 29 weeks! Can you believe I'm almost to 30? CRAZY!!!

So my 3hr glucose test went a lot better than I was expecting! I got to my appointment hadn't eaten or drank anything since the night before and they called me back pricked my finger for my fasting blood sugar then I had to drink the glucose drink within 10mins I had the fruit punch flavor this time and surprisingly it wasn't as gross as I though it'd be! It's the best flavor by far. So I drank that they told me I could hang out in the waiting area for an hour or I could go and come back so Tawny and I decided to go to her apartment and hang out for a little while. I felt pretty good after drinking that drink and the more time that went on after I drank it the better I felt. So we went back after at the 1hr mark they pricked my finger again went and put it in the little machine my blood sugar needed to be under 94 (i think) and mine was 74! awesome. So they sent me off again. Tawny and I went to Sally's beauty and Walmart this time then we headed back for the 2hr mark. They pricked my finger again and the nurse let me come back and watch her put it in the machine and said if my number was low again I wouldn't even need to do the 3rd hour. it had to be under like 178 I think or something like that and mine was like 117 or something so I got to skip out on the 3rd since my levels were so good. SOOOOO glad that's over with and I don't have to worry about it anymore. The entire week before that appointment I just felt guilty eating anything remotely sugary or anything that wasn't a vegetable. ugh. So yay for me I passed.

Can't believe I only have 11weeks left until my due date! it's going to fly! I want it to go fast but at the same time I have lots to get ready and Summer just finally started and I don't want it to go by fast!

Today I'm going to work on baby stuff! I'm wanting to start sewing up the crib set and a few little other crafts! Can't wait to show pictures :)

Oh also I hosted a baby shower for my friend who is having her first boy after 3 girls. It was fun and of course my pregnancy brain forgot to take pictures danget. Oh well. Just know it was cute and she had a good time. I wish more people would have showed up but oh well what do you do. Atleast she had a good time. :)

Glucose test

Here I am 28 weeks Today! Can you believe I'm already in the 3rd trimester?! Crazy! So weird it's all going by so fast and I know I say that every post but it is.

This morning was my Dr. Appt and I had to drink the nasty glucose drink. I chose the orange flavored one and let me tell you it is way better then the lemon lime.

Icky drink.

I followed all the instructions exactly didn't have a sugary breakfast ( I had buttered toast with an egg on it and some milk) drank it all within 10mins and 45mins before my appointment and everything. I was thrilled I finished the drink this time around and didn't throw it up or even feel sick afterwards. I was feeling great we headed to my appointment I got checked in and called back right away. They poked my finger to test my blood sugar and my midwife came in and told me I FAILED! I couldn't believe it!!! I was like Noooo what?! I've never failed it before. and she said I know I'm sorry and your number is actually high too.

I don't know what the range is supposed to be but the fact that I failed wasn't bad enough my number had to be high too. UGH! So then she went on to tell me that I have to come back within the week to do the 3hr test and I have to come in fasting no food or water and then drink another one of those drinks on an empty stomach (yeah right.) And they'll check my blood sugar every hour for 3 hrs. I was so upset. And to top it off Lee had an employee quit this week so he had a hard time getting someone to take his place at the shop for this appointment today so I knew it'd be near impossible for him to get another morning off this week let alone 3hrs with 3 kids...ugh. Luckily I have the best cousin in the world who is going to be my babysitting chauffer I don't know what I would do without her! It really sucks not being able to drive myself anywhere when stuff like this happens. So grateful for Tawny and that she is close enough and willing to help me out.

So anyways the midwife went on to tell me that if I failed the 3hr test then that confirms I have gestational diabetes and then I'd have to set up an appointment with this other lady and talk to her about it and I'd have to watch my diet and check blood sugars and exercise cuz the top concern with GD is that the baby will be big and it's not so much the head size but they body size and the baby getting stuck at the shoulders. So I left that appointment just feeling great about myself. The tears atleast waited until I got to the car. So Friday morning at 8:30am is my 3hr test I don't know what I'll do if I don't pass the 3hr one. She said it's common to fail the first test and pass the second test but I'm still just so upset I even have to take it. oh well I better just pass and hopefully not throw up.

Oh also at my appointment I got the whooping cough vaccine it's new this time around but will give baby those extra anti bodies before she is born. It was a definite yes for me. With all the recent outbreaks everywhere I'm not going to take any chances and regret them later especially since she'll be coming in September and that's when all the bugs and germs start going around. So my arm is kinda sore but not bad, at least not today. I got to hear her heartbeat too and that sounded good also I'm measuring 27 weeks even though I'm 28 today which I think is a good sign that I probably don't have Gestational Diabetes since baby is measuring smaller instead of bigger. I'm hoping we get a petite little girl this time around a nice 7 pounder would be great instead of 8 pounds like my boys not that it'll really matter but I just want her to already by little and stay little longer. haha

On a happy note here is a summer wreath I made with the boys this last week! My mom had given me a straw wreath a while ago and I finally put it to good use. I bought a box of the drink umbrella's for 5bucks and we stuck them into the wreath. it was really easy and pretty quick and so cute :) I haven't hung it up yet but it looks cute sitting on top of my piano for the moment. :)

Belly post!

27 Weeks and 3 Days!

This week is my last week of my second trimester can you believe it?! I can't believe how fast this is all flying by! On Monday I'll be 28 weeks and officially in the 3rd trimester! CRAZY!

According to the books baby is about 15inches and 2lbs! I'm strarting to get into the uncomfortable feel like a beached whale stage lol bending over all the time and picking things up is starting to suck but overall I'm feeling good and really can't complain.

not much else to report this week. We're hoping for good weather this weekend so we can really make a huge dent in the yard work out back! Next Saturday is the baby shower I'm hosting it's coming up fast! Can't wait to post pictures of the yard and the baby shower :)

OH! Also Landon is on B day for Kindergarten in the Fall! Which means he'll be going to school on Tuesday Thursdays! He even has some friends in his class. I'm not sure if they go to Kindergarten on Friday's or not...the list just said Tuesday, Thursday so we'll see once I get more information. So weird he's old enough for school already! He is so excited!

busy with yardwork and stuff

 We've been busy with yardwork!
Last Saturday Lee surprised us with the whole day off work so we decided to get stuff done in our yard! We went to the local nursery here and bought a bunch of flowers and bushes for our yard. I got my front porch planter boxes all planted! :) The boys each helped with one.

The picture on the left is the left side of our steps. the picture on the right is the walk way to the front steps. We need to get more bark to fill it in but all the plants along there were new ones! We planted a bunch more bushes and flowers all over the yard but I didn't take pictures. I'll get some pictures next time we mow and weed of the whole yard :) We also planted some stuff out back.

We've been busy with yard work not only cuz we like having a nice looking yard but also because I'm throwing a baby shower for one of my friends at the end of June! She has 3 little girls and is having a boy and since I'm a boy expert i offered to throw her a shower!
These are the invites I made for her shower! we'll be decorating with lots of blues and greens! I can't wait to share pictures from her shower as well as the progress of our backyard. We still have lots of work to do before it's ready but we've made a good dent!

I finally finished Drake's name! haha I ran out of rope for part of the K and e and I bought the rope soon after but just hadn't gotten to it yet. Well I finally did it! I go his name finished! Pat on the back for me lol

All their names in rope in the boys' room.

Summer has brought with it the summer reading program at the library! Every Tuesday at 11 is story hour and my friend julie and her 4 boys come and pick us up and we all head over to the library. During the summer they have the reading program where you read 15mins a day and the kids can get prizes. They also do story hour but they read only a couple of books then we head next door to the gym and they get to do an activity! This years summer reading program has a science theme to it and the activity was making these fun little experiments.
you fill the bottom half with water and add food coloring of your choice. Then you pour the oil on top. Leave a space at the top of the water bottle.
Then you take an alka seltzer tablet and break it in half each bottle gets a half of a tablet.
DO NOT PUT THE LID ON.

Drop the tablets in the bottle and watch it bubble up through the oil and have a cool lava lamp effect! The kids loved this experiment. Don't put your lid on until your sure that it's done fizzing and bubbling otherwise it will create some pressure.

I'm 26 weeks and 3 Days prego today!
95 days to go until my due date! crazy that it's less than 100 already!

I've been feeling good overall some days I'm more tired than others but who isn't? I'm perfectly pregnant right now not uncomfortable or miserable. Just the right amount of everything. I sleep all night (unless i have to pee) and my heartburn isn't too crazy or unmanageable.  I've been craving lots of chocolate and vegetables haha like veggie sandwhiches from subway or Millhollow yuuuuum!

Baby girl is really active squirming and kicking all over. It's makes it more fun for Lee when we just get to lay on the couch and watch tv at night and she puts on a show for him kicking and squirming :)

Check it out!

All the painting and caulking and construction on Maylee's room is DONE!!! HALLELUJAH! I can hear the choir of angels singing! hahaha I am so glad I have absolutely no more painting to do on this room.

BEFORE
Wish I had remembered to take BEFORE pictures BEFORE I actually painted it all gray danget lol oh well you get the idea.
The trim was stained...I ripped it all out and painted it all white.
This is a picture showing the blue that I painted over on this wall. The wall with the window was painted a yellow color the other walls were just a white-ish color.

AFTER

Ahhh so much better all finished and beautiful!

Overall I painted the entire room plus the shelving (most tedious job ever ugh) and the trim. The door and door frame got fresh paint as well! Lee put in new carpet then put all the trim back in and caulked around all the edges (Lee also caulked the shelves too) Then I got to put all my craft stuff back in the room and on the shelves. So now that all the hard work is over I finally get to start on the fun stuff! But first I'm going to sit on my butt and enjoy doing nothing and just admire Maylee Belle's new room.

Here is a close up of the cute little knobs I bought for her dresser that Lee made. I had to make it girly somehow and these were perfect. Also this dress received a new coat of paint as well!

Today I was feeling extra crafty and since all the hardwork on Maylee's room is done I decided to celebrate by making one of her first decorations!

I got these little wooden pennant banner things in Utah at Wood Creations just for this purpose.

Zeke helped me paint them all white. I put a pearly white over top of just the plain white to give them a little more shine.

I cut out her name in glitter cardstock paper with my Silhouette SD (man I love that thing) So once the pennants were dry I mod podged her name on.

Then I got into all my fun ribbons and stuff and strung it with ribbon and tied some purple and blue to add just a little more color to it.

and TADA!!! Looks so cute! I absolutely LOVE it! It looks even better in person because you can tell it's sparkly and glittery. Oh and I also hung up her mirror that I've been so excited to put up. I got it from Hobby  Lobby for 11.99! LOVE IT!

I am so in love with how her room is shaping up! Can't wait to add more! I plan on adding a mobile above her crib and some fun picture frames and stuff to the wall. I'm also going to be starting the crib bedding here really soon too but first I need to get my house whipped back into shape. While we were fixing up this room everything in it was in the hallway and in the kitchen and it created a disaster so now I need to get all caught up but it was worth it cuz her room looks so good!

Updates

The Boys' closet is done!!!!!! TADA!!! I LOVE it so much!!! All their toys fit in the baskets on the shelves in the closet no more avalanche of baskets there's even some extra room for more stuff to go especially at the very top! I'll probably just store extra diapers and wipes up high and clothes they've grown out of or whatever will go in a tote at the top too. So  glad this little project is finished! Feels so good to be organized!

Maylee's dresser all put back together. It got a fresh coat of paint and new knobs. and I'll be looking for two pink bins to go in the open space to store more of her things.
This picture is also showing the old carpet in her room
More pics of the old carpet. It's been in the house since we moved in and was so gross I couldn't just redo everything in the room and not replace the carpet sooooo I sent Lee on the hunt for new carpet. The room is small (9ft 1in X 9ft 4in) so we only need a remenant piece and Lee found some! It's the softest fluffiest plushiest carpet ever I love it. it orginally sells for $50 a yard! ouch! but they gave it to us for about $10 a yard since it was leftover.

Last night Lee installed the new carpet and re-installed the trim! It's so pretty now!!!
I'm officially done painting in this room so Lee got to install the carpet for me last night! It's all coming together and looking so good!!!

These shelves are completely finished and I couldn't be happier! It was quite the tedious paint job!
I also hung up all the clothes we've gotten for Maylee so far! So fun to see cute little girl things hung up in this room!
I can't wait for this room to be all put together and my house not a disaster zone anymore haha everything has been pushed out into the hallway and kitchen area and is such a mess it's driving us all crazy I'm sure. So I finally get to start putting things back where they belong and getting the rest of the house put cleaned up as well.

The boy's being cute eating their lunch outside yesterday. They all sat down by each other lined up like this eating their sandwiches. Oh also in other news where you see all that dirt on the other side of the grass we planted grass and will have grass growing soon!!! We left a trail from the steps to the trampoline un planted so the rest of the grass can come in first and then once it's grown in enough to walk on we will fill in the last spot. It will be so nice to have a whole yard full of grass this summer!

The boys were playing with the hose and of course they can't just keep it on the grass and be happy they have to make mud. And Drake is always the one they decide to paint in mud. Drake loves the mud and will sit down in it and play in it all his own but the other two boys have to add to it and rub it on his back and head. Luckily this time they left his head alone! haha
