Spokane Baby shower!

We had a fun long weekend in Spokane for my baby shower! Lee didn't get to come with us since they were shorthanded at the shop and he had some big sales he needed to stay and finish to make sure they didn't get messed up. So Tawny drove us up to Spokane.
Saturday was the baby shower and we had a headband making station! All the guests got to make Maylee a hair clip!
Here were the final results from everyone who made a hairclip! I love them all they all turned out so well!

Here were the yummy cupcakes we had at the shower! Strawberry and Chocolate.

We had chicken salad croissant sandwhiches a cookie fruit salad and a fruit bowl. The fruit bowl we carved a watermelon like a baby carriage and filled it with watermelon canteloupe grapes and blueberries. Unfortunately I didn't get a picture :(

I made these little favors for everyone who came to the shower!
we had 4 different pinks and I used curling ribbon that said "It's a girl!"
I made the tags in Word and then punched them out with my scalloped punch :)

Me at my baby shower! Ignore my face lol
( I got these pictures off of my friend Leah's blog! I'm so glad she took pictures because I only ended up having pictures of the cupcakes and headband table!)
 All the guests!
We played Baby shower Bingo! While I was opening gifts! It made the gift opening less awkward and more fun for everyone!
Me opening presents haha again ignore my face lol

Maylee is definitely going to be a spoiled little girl! We got so many cute outfits and toys and diapers and everything from this shower! I am just so full of gratitude for everyone! I'm so blessed to have such great friends and family!

My mom bought this fun pool for the boys and Sophie to play in!

Sopie LOVES the water she'd stay in there all day! So doesn't even care that it's cold hose water!

The boys got to ride the motorcycle that Popa got for them! Landon is still too short to touch but that didn't deter him from wanting to do it himself haha He got to ride with popa and decided that was ok too.

More fun in the pool!

I think this picture is so funny. Landon peeking over the slide part of the pool and sophie just looking at him like what are you doing?

Saturday night I got my hair cut! My sister is the best. It's so handy having a cosmetologist for a sister haha I love the dramatic a line cut. Having no hair on the back of my neck is pure heaven especially during the summer it's just the best :)

We headed home from Spokane on Monday early afternoon. and got back Monday night! We all missed Lee and were happy to be home. It was fun to go through all the gifts again and show him everything :) And he didn't die from girly over load either haha

4th of July

Here's my 4th of July catch up post!
Lee bought a new tent that is really compact and light weight and sleeps 4 people so he can go hiking with it so he set it up and we slept in the tent! My back regretted that decision later haha

Didn't get a picture of me in the tent but here's me in my swimsuit haha

4th of July morning we all got ready and went to the parade! The boys loved it and they scored lots of taffy and candy.
Here they are modeling their 4th of July shirts they made!
Lee can never just smile normally for me. But this pic was cut cuz Landon and Zeke were smiling nicely!

Re-do with Lee somewhat smiling normally...that's his fake hurry up and take the picture smile. I swear he's worse than the kids lol

Now a picture with mommy! :)

Drake LOVES watermelon! we cut him his own little slice :) by the end of the night his shirt was so dirty you could tell he had a good 4th.

We also went and watched fireworks here in Ashton on the 4th. I was nervous Drake was going to cry the whole time and hate it but he loved it! which is funny cuz when we did sparkler's he was running away and trying to get into the house because he didn't like them lol

Being crafty!

We're gearing up for the 4th tomorrow! I had the kids make these cute little 4th of july shirts for tomorrow!
Landon enjoyed painting the flag stripes on his and zeke did one stripe and was done. haha they all loved having their hand painted! I've got Drake trained well when it comes to painting his hands or feet he knows to spread his fingers and hold still so cute haha
Close up of zeke's  shirt. When they are dry I will take the tape off and snap another picture. I'll definitely include it in my  4th of July post.
Close up of Drake's shirt! look how good his hand print is!

 Close up of landon's shirt!

Got my 4th of July decoration all set up earlier this week! I love it! I made this when we were in Utah a couple of months ago.

Monday I decided to whip out my serger and use it for the first time! haha I got it for Mother's day and just have been so busy doing all kinds of other projects I hadn't gotten a chance to use it yet! So here was my very first project using my serger! I looooove my serger!
A crib sheet for Maylee to match her bedding that I'm making!
The back underneath side :) making crib sheets is soooo easy you can use a regular sewing machine as well and it took me maybe 20 mins. The longest part was threading the elastic on the underside. quick and easy I have another crib sheet I'm going to make too and I'm sure in the future I'll make a bunch more including some out of flannel and minky for winter.

close up o f the underside corner.

Also on Monday I made Maylee Belle's newborn hat! I love it so much!!! I could have bought one exactly like this on etsy for like $20 bucks but I couldn't bring myself to pay for something I could make myself so I bought the little hat for like maybe 5 bucks I had the ribbon and I bought the little rhinestone button. quick and easy and so dang cute I can't wait to put it on her!

Tuesday I started Maylee's crib skirt! I had all the pieces cut out and ready and that's about as far as I got on Tuesday. Then Wednesday I ruffled up all my strips of fabric and sewed them on and got it all finished!!! I absolutely looooove how freaking cute this turned out!!! I can hardly stand the cuteness and it went surprisingly smooth and easy! So glad it turned out perfect!

On the crib! her bed is no longer looking so bare!

\
Tada! looking so good! I'm going to be doing her crib bumper after the 4th of July weekend. I've started cutting out pieces for it here and there but I'm going to enjoy the nice long 4th of July weekend first before I get serious. Also next on my list is to figure out what kind of window treatment I want to do in this room and a crib mobile is on the to do list as well!
