Landon's Mischief

Lee brought home a plastic bag full of potato's from The Hess' in our ward and I had them setting on the floor by the cupboards for the moment so I could feed Zeke well I guess that plastic bag was just too tempting for landon cuz he literally tore it apart and spread the potatoes everywhere and was then playing with all the potatoes! haha There was dirt EVERYWHERE cuz they were fresh from the field or rather the cellar...atleast he had fun right?!

Landon had more fun rolling around on the sheets then he did posing which is why these are the best pictures we got of the two of them together! hahaha

It all started early early in the morning...

I woke up at 2am from the contractions and they were 2mins apart and lasting 1min or longer so I called my Dr. and she told me to wait a half hour to make sure they weren't going to go away but I couldn't wait that long they were intense and hurting! I knew they weren't just gonna go away! So I woke Lee up and we got dressed and headed to Rexburg which sucked! I couldn't sit in the seat properly it just hurt way too bad so I was kneeling backwards on my seat and when I'd have a contraction I'd just grab the headrest so I wasn't breaking lee's hand and hurting him while he was trying to drive! haha
One thing about going into labor at 2am is that there is NO ONE on the roads which was GREAT! Lee turned on our hazard lights and was going 80 we passed a cop and he didn't even stop us :) haha he probably just figured that at 2am with the hazard lights on someone was in labor lol I would have freaked out if we had gotten stopped! Man I was contracting like a mad woman! I was going to try and go natural this time around but as soon as those contractions started and I knew I was really in labor there was NO WAY I wasn't getting an epidural! hahaha Thank goodness for drugs!!! This labor hurt more than Landon for some reason! I think it was just because it was so fast and furious! lol Well we made it to the hospital I went and checked in at the emergency room and lee went to drop landon off at Robert and Kandice's real quick. He dropped landon off and made it back to the ER and I was STILL waiting for a nurse to come freakin' get me and take me to the Labor and Delivery room! The girl working at the desk in the ER called twice for a nurse cuz she could tell I was really hurting! Finally someone came and they brought a wheel chair with them this time!(last time I had to walk all the way to the 3rd floor!) I got changed and they checked to see how dilated I was and I was a 7cm!!! no wonder I was hurting and contracting like a crazy person! I finally got my epidural around 4:30-5ish and just in time since I was already a 7 and probably closer to an 8 or 9 when they finally got it in me! (I was proud of myself for making it for so long without an epidural and being so dialated! there's always next time that i can try to go natural I'm determined to do it someday!) So after I got my epidural the nurse was like ok let me know when your water breaks or if you feel any pressure like you need to push and of course I couldn't feel anything and so after a while I had Lee look to see if my water had broke or anything and he was like uhhh yeah your water broke so we called the nurse back in and she checked to see if I was completely dilated and she was like ok don't push or anything the baby is right there I need to go call the Dr so she can get here! hahaha so she quick went and called the Dr (the Dr lives like 5mins from the hospital) and she came back and was nervously checking me every couple of minutes to make sure the baby wasn't coming out yet! haha She said if I had gone natural he would have been there already for sure! So the Dr. made it and I pushed for not even 15mins and he was out!!! It was like maybe 6 pushes with contractions and he was able to come out! so all in all only 4hours of labor and 15mins of pushing! And our precious little Zeke arrived! :) I really liked going to into labor so early in the morning because it was so quiet and peaceful and you just got to enjoy your new baby afterwards :) Oh one other thing Zeke was born with an extra digit! haha kinda funny! It was on his left pinky and didn't look like an extra finger or anything at all it looked like this:
on the other side of it it had a little nail in the middle of it! so weird! The dr was able to easily remove it they just tied it off and put in a couple stitches and we're just waiting for the stitches to heal up and come off :) The dr also said it happens all the time with newborns having extra "tags" as they called it. who knew?! haha All in all we're all doing really good! Zeke is still such a good baby and Landon just adores him! I'm so glad he's not jealous or anything! He wants to hold his brother all the time and the only naughty thing he does is tries to pick up the baby or gets a little too rough which is what i expected from a toddler haha. We had newborn pictures taken of Zeke and my absolute favorite was posted on the photographers facebook page so I was able to snag it and it's the picture and the very top of my blog! Sooo cute! My friend Leah Kinsey made the blanket that is in the background of that picture! She did such a great job! Thank You Thank You Leah!!!Here's another sneek peek of zeke's photoshoot! He looks almost looks Asian in this picture but it's still cute haha I bought this cheesecloth on Etsy and took it with me to so we could try out some of these poses! So glad we got to try them out! You can't tell but he was actually hanging above a couch that had a lot of blankets on it and me and another girl had our hands held underneath him just in case! haha But the cheesecloth held and there were no accidents! haha I can't wait to post the rest of his pictures when we get them!

Well baby's hungry and Landon's movie just ended so I better be going!

I'll be doing another post sometime later this week or next with more pictures and the whole birth story but for now this will have to do! I'm gonna go squeeze in a quick nap while Landon and Zeke both are still asleep! We're all doing really well and we're all happy that baby Zeke is here with us! He is such a good baby he sleeps and eats and only cries when you change his diaper or when his big brother won't quit bothering when he's trying to sleep haha

39 weeks

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY EVERYONE!
Well here I am only a week left till my due date although it feels much much longer and as if I'll be pregnant forever! I'm hoping this weekend I'll go into labor it'd definitely be convenient before Lee goes back to work full time now that spuds are going on again and farmers have lots of work for him to do!
As of today I'm almost 4cm dialated and I'm ready to go anytime now! my goal is Sunday or Monday haha not that I have control over it. Seems like nothing I do really works but atleast I'm dilating and getting close! Hopefully this is the last picture of my belly I have to take! :) :) :)

38 Weeks and still prego!

Here I am still prego and ready to be done but really I can't complain cuz I feel good I'm just sick of being prego and can't wait to sleep on my stomach again my hips and arms are getting really tired of being slept on all the time! I had a dr's appointment today and I'm 3cm dialated! Woo Hoo!!! So glad that all the contractions I've been having have been doing their job! They seem to come around the same time every night but by the time I go to bed and lay down they quit...wish they would turn into real labor! We're all ready for this little guy to be here! :)
