Day 2 at home

He's finally here! Our precious baby boy arrived Monday July 20th at 5:12pm! He was 8lbs 7oz and 21inches long! My water broke that morning around 9am although I wasn't positive if it was my water that broke or what was going on but I decided that since there was a wet spot in the computer chair where i was sitting that it probably but i was still a little unsure so i kinda waited around to see what would happen. Two hours later my lower back started killing me! i was having contractions but they weren't bothering me at all it was my back! No matter what position i got in it just would not go away so i called my mom and complained about my back and she was like "Honey! You're in labor! yay!" I was not feeling her enthusiasm! haha So I called the Dr.'s office and told them i thought my water had broke and they had me come in asap, so Tawny being the wonderful cousin she is came and got me and we went to the office (Lee was at work... a half hour away so Tawny was my back up helper). So i went in and she was checking and all of a sudden she was like "don't cough or we're gonna have a flood!"She hurried and grabbed a ton of paper towels and it was very obvious that indeed my water had broken. So she told me i could head up to the hospital right then and there or i could go home and labor at home a while until i felt like i needed to go to the hospital. I ended up going back home to wait for Lee to get home from work. I called him as soon as i was out of the dr's office and told him i really was in labor and that he needed to get home fast cuz i was hurting. I almost left for the hospital without him but he arrived just in time. We went straight to the hospital he was still in his work clothes and kinda dirty but i didn't want to wait any longer, i was sick of being in pain and just tired of waiting for him to come in general since he was 4 days late and i was dead stuck on getting an epidural! call me a wuss i don't care back labor is the worst! So we got to the ER and we walked in and the ladies at the desk were like what can we do for you? You think it would've been obvious by the look on my face and me trying breathe away the pain but i guess it wasn't to them so i told them i was in labor and after checking with my dr. who said to keep me there they got a nurse to take me up to labor and delivery which is all the way at the top on the 3rd floor which i had to walk cuz she didn't bring a wheel chair! ugh but i did it and we got to the room i got changed and they asked me a million more questions and hooked me up to things and then finally the man with the epidural showed up! yay! I was only dialated to a 4 when i got there but i didn't care! I still wasn't feeling any of the contractions all i could feel was my back! So he saved me and that epidural was great once it started to kick in. After that it was pretty much waiting for me to dialate which didn't take long(Lee in the meantime ran home to change and shower really fast when he got back tawny ran out and bought some food for him cuz he was starving haha she was a real life saver it was great having her there). I was progressing really well. Landon's heart rate was low and going up and down so they had me wear the oxygen mask to help and a little later when it still wasn't where they'd like it they had me get on my hands and knees trying to change his position or something. This proved difficult considering i was numbed from epidural so i felt like a retard trying to move around and get in that position! haha but i did it and it didn't make much of a difference so they let me lay back down. They checked me again and i was a 6 and then they came back a little later and i was still a 6 and around this time things finally started slowing down and we had some time to ourselves with no nurses and dr's so Lee gave me a blessing since he hadn't had a chance to earlier. 40mins later i was fully dialated and ready to push!! It was crazy! everything happened at once then and we had to quick kick tawny out of the room (my mom would've been jealous if she got to stay haha) and then they got everything situated and ready and i started pushing! The Dr. who delivered Landon was constantly cracking jokes it was pretty entertaining even to me haha The Dr. used the vaccum to help get Landon out quicker and i was only pusing for an hour and then he was out! I did have to get an episitomy though (good thing i did have that epidural) and on top of the episitomy i tore right through to my rectum! (sorry for the gross details) so me and the dr's were all really glad i did get that epidural in the end! Landon definately left his mark! He had a 14 1/4in head!!! he was huge for me! i definatetly didn't think i had an 8lb baby inside me! haha after he was out lee was crying and i was tearing up trying not to look at lee or i was gonna start balling! all in all it was a great day! my mom got to the hospital that night around 9pm and she's been here the whole week helping out and loving on her new grandbaby :) It's so nice having her here to help as you can imagine i've been pretty sore so i don't move around too fast and having her here making us food all the time and cleaning and taking the baby so i can get a little extra sleep is more then i could ask for! Thanks mom!!! So wednesday was our first day home. we could've come back tuesday if i felt like it but Landon's little head was still sore and blistered from the vaccum and he had his stomache pumped cuz he was still puking up merconium (there was some merconium in the fluid, not a ton but enough.) so we opted to stay the night one more night and bum off more drugs for the both of us! haha being home and finally having him here is so great! there's so much more love in our home now! Landon is a good baby he only cries when he's hungry (or gassy) and he's a good sleeper! During the night he'll sleep for four hours easy then he'll wake up and eat and sleep for another 4! Lee is a proud daddy for sure and he's so good with him! He's a total natural at being a dad! We love our little Landon and can't imagine life any other way! We are so blessed and so grateful!

Still haven't popped yet danget! I'm now officially past my due date by one day haha one day is a looooong time if you ask me! So we're still waiting anxiously! We're really hoping he comes this weekend but he seems to be stubborn like his daddy! haha I love you Lee! I guess Hotel Uterus is just way to comfy for him and he's decided to overstay his welcome! haha nah being pregnant isn't that bad but we're just so dang anxious to finally have him here, and I can't wait to be sleeping on my stomache again! Well we'll keep you all posted!!!

Update on my status...

I had a dr's appointment today and I'm 2-3cm dialated and 80% effaced still...I think she threw in the 3cm just so I wouldn't start crying or something haha so pretty much I'm the same as the week before ugh! But ya never know it could be tonight! haha I'm still trying to think positively but its getting harder. So after all that we started talking about induction and she told me I could be pregnant till July 29th!!! The 29th!!! I swear I almost died! luckily she added the words..."if you want to be." at the end of that sentence! And I definately don't want to be pregnant THAT much longer! But they don't like to induce people till after 41 weeks sooooo I have a dr's appointment on the 23rd (if i haven't gone into labor on my own by then) and they'll do a regular check and then they'll do a fetal stress test and check the fluids around the baby to make sure I can wait just a little longer if necessary and if I have to be, then I'll be induced July 27th. Lets just cross our fingers and toes and anything else we can cross that he'll decide to come before then...way before then...liiiike...TONIGHT! haha Tomorrow is my official due date so I still have a little time that I'm ok waiting for him but we're getting more and more anxious every second! and I'm getting more and more uncomfortable and sleepless as well! so lets just cross everything and hope he comes SOON! So then I'll have a very cute reason to have no sleep! :)

Still haven't popped!

Ugh! I know I still have 3 days left till my actual due date but I'm going crazy! I wouldn't necessarily say I'm miserable but it's somewhere close to there. Sleeping doesn't really happen cuz i'm up half the night peeing or i just can't get comfortable or i'm just wide awake feeling for no reason...it'd be nice if he'd just come out so i could have a good reason to be sleepless! haha He seems to be being stubborn and none of the old wives talke tricks and tips have worked and trust me i've tried them all i'm sure and even made up some of my own like mowing the lawn and jumping on trampolines...nothing! I think i'm doomed to be eternally pregnant or atleast it feels that way haha when he finally does decide to come out we'll definately be posting pictures and sending out texts and stuff so don't worry! p.s. if any of you have tried texting me or whatever the past couple days, sorry i broke my phone in half so you can see how it didn't work very well haha but i've got the new replacement now so no worries i'll be able to text everyone when he finally does grace us with his presence! Cross your fingers for me that it's soon...like...riiiiiight NOW! haha

4th of July!

This is us playing with the cutest little stuffed animals ever! haha we couldn't help it we had to buy them! haha

Lee made me stand in front of this bear statue and take a picture so I made him stand in front of it too haha he was no fun he didn't make a face or anything like I did haha atleast he doesn't look like a pregnant dork lol!

These buffalo statues were all over west yellowstone! So we decided to make a game out of it and take pictures of all the different kinds we could find! haha we found 17! one of which was a baby buffalo statue that we found the day before and couldn't remember where we had seen it!

Here's a video of lee's 20 skipped rock! haha it doesn't do it justice but it really was amazing haha!

Henry's Lake! So pretty! We sat down here with our feet in the water skiping rocks! It was way fun and Lee seriously skipped a rock 20 skips I swear! haha

What's the fourth of July without some fireworks!!! The Ranch put on a really cool fireworks show for everyone out by the lake! and the finale was way cool but I was having too much fun watching to take pictures! And after the finale they played the song Proud To Be An American which seemed to wrap up the night perfectly!

Lee feeling very accomplished at setting up our huge tent...or should i say our second home! lol

YAY! Camping!!!

The cutest little baby ducks I've ever seen! they're were sooo little! haha dang cute! This was at Henry's Lake at the Wild Rose Ranch where we camped overnight. Lee's brother Lyman works there so us and lee's parents and his little sister went up for the fourth!

This was Hebgen Lake! Lee wanted to show me the spot he had all picked out to propse to me! but when he was ready to propose there was snow! haha There was a little beach with driftwood logs and a little fireplace right inside one of these little hidden areas where he was going to propose but there was no beach this year cuz the water is so high! lol It was still pretty though! After all it's the thought that counts right?! haha

Haha! this was me and lee trying to finish our HUGE ice cream cones! we were getting pretty bored with our ice cream by this point! lol

This was a sweet little motorcycle car thing up in west yellowstone! we saw a couple of them actually!

Yay for the rexburg parade! It seemed to last forever this year! There was lots of horses and the cool old military trucks that spray water at the crowd! Broulims had a huge grocery cart thing this year! every year we hear them practicing yelling and screaming and running around with their grocery carts in the back parking lot of broulims which is right outside our bedroom window! And for some reason they think they need to practice doing this before 8am! Anyways the parade was good!
