More baby stuff :)

Just a few other things I've been working on for Maylee....

This is her coming home onesie that I bought on Etsy HERE. It had the option of adding rhinestones to it but was like $3 and I already splurged for the shirt so I did the rhinestones myself. Beside I had all the stuff to do the rhinestones anyways. So I finally ironed on the little rhinestones so her shirt is officially ready and packed up in our hospital bag.

I made her hairbow holder!
Let me just tell you that I have been searching my entire pregnancy for just the right hairbow holder. I didn't just want the kind that is ribbons hanging down and you clip everything cuz then what do you do with all the hair bows and headbands that can't clip to anything?! and I didn't want a big board or something I'd have to hang on the wall cuz there's not a lot of convenient wall space to use in her room as it is and I knew I'd need a HUGE board to hold all the clips I plan on her having haha. So one day....
I saw this idea on pinterest and it was actually linked to a Etsy shop named HelloKirsti this is her  picture below:
I loooove her idea because all she used was ribbon and elastic and you can make them however long or short you'd like and you can add the shower curtain rings to the loops to hold on the stretch interchangeable headbands it was exactly what I was looking for! The loops that she created with the elastic going down the center has been the missing element of all the other hairbow holders out there! Too bad I didn't come up with it myself it is genius! So anyways I ended up making my own cuz I have a ton of ribbon and I didn't want to pay what she was charging for these fabulous holders. So when I got around to doing it I actually didn't even use elastic going down the center I just used skinnier ribbon and I was lazy and didn't want to pull out my sewing machine so I also just hot glued it haha and guess what?! It works awesome!

All hanging up!                                                  Pink on pink!
side view so you can see the loops.

So to start out I just made three. The first one I made (the center ribbon on the back of the door)I just made the loops only one finger space apart and it could fit like 24 clips. The other two I spaced the loops two finger spaces for larger clips like on the right with all the gerber daisy looking clips and I actually like the spacing with two fingers better it just gives everything enough space that you can see everything. So I folded over the tops of these ribbons to create a loop so I could string a little ribbon through to hang it up with an dI put tacks in the back of the door and hung them up! I decided to make them a shorter length so that when maylee gets bigger and wants to grab things off she won't be able to reach all the hairbows. The empty hairbow holder on the far left I'm going to be getting some shower curtain rings at the dollar store and hanging all her headbands on that ribbon! :) I just love how it turned out and how easy it was to make. It took me maybe 15mins.

I've seen super cute beaded binky clips all over Etsy and I just had to make some for Maylee. So far I've just made this one! I got all the beads at Joann's and just had some extra buttons and binky clip stuff so one night I put this one together and I just love it! It is also packed in our hospital bag :) I plan on making her one to match her blessing dress outfit and one or two more just for fun.

and in closing of this post
Here's the belly at 38 weeks! She is still pretty high up I think. I can feel her up in my ribs. I can't wait for her to drop and get engaged so that I can breathe easier!

I had an appointment this afternoon and I am currently 2cm dialated and 0% effaced :( she said my cervix is still pretty thick and hard ( we want soft and thinning) danget. I was hoping for a labor day baby (yesterday) because I was born on Labor Day I thought it'd be awesome to have a labor day baby so we could share the same holiday but still have different birthdays well that obviously didn't happen. I was so hopeful too because Sunday morning at like 3AM I was having contractions 3mins apart for an hour and a half and then they just went away :( I was so sure it was going to turn into the real thing but it never did so I was hopeful for a labor day baby!  I mowed our huge backyard and the front yard all day yesterday hoping to make some progress/ go into labor and NOTHING! lol so frustrating but I gotta admit I expected it. I'm never the lucky one to have a baby early. Baby #1- 4days late, Baby #2- 5 days early (ok so I was early once), Baby#3 -1 week late!!! So I've accepted the fact that I will be making it to my due date if not later. oh well more brain cells for her haha hopefully she'll drop soon and that will help with the effacing hopefully next week I'll have made even more progress....we'll see.

Oh and also today I went and pre registered at the hospital after my appointment. So I finally found out the proper way to get to labor and delivery. the first two times I just went to the ER and they got me up there. I didn't know there was an actual labor and delivery entrance. The third time the L&D entrance was all under construction so I was supposed to go to the ER. So this time we're going to do it the right way haha L&D is way over on the side of the hospital and you go in through those doors then you have to take the elevator up to the 3rd floor ( the hospital is built on/up against a hill so it has a really weird layout since they've just kept adding to it.) and then you turn right out of the elevator and down the little hall and there is the main desk for labor and delivery. Today the elevators going up to L&D were broken but a really nice hospital worker guy showed me the way up another way which was completely confusing but I was just glad he got me to where I needed to go without taking the stairs lol and he knew where I needed to go cuz I had no clue and the signs were so not helpful... so anyways I  got all pre registered which pretty much just consisted of confirming all my information and I re confirmed that when I am in actual labor that that was the desk I go to and I can just walk in where I did and get in the eleveator and it will bring me right up. So now I feel a whole lot better about knowing about all that instead of being thoroughly confused when I'm in labor. Glad I got that all sorted out. Now it's just waiting for baby and trying to keep the house clean until she gets here haha I don't think she's coming until the 17th and Lee is guessing the 14th....I guess we'll see! Any guesses?!

Getting ready for baby!

I've been busy getting stuff all washed and put together for baby girl!
The other day I washed up her bassinet sheet and the actual cover so it was all dry to put together and put back on Tuesday. I'm really excited for this bassinet. I've used my pack n play with the last 3 boys but it takes up so much room in our tiny bedroom and blocks me from getting into my nightstand and closet. So my mom actually bought me this for my baby shower! I was looking at just getting a moses basket and base and she found this bassinet! It's perfect because it actually has storage underneath which a regular moses basket base doesn't have. Also its super easy to click in and out of the base and it's all light weight and easy to move.
The basket off of the base
Close up pictures of the toys and pattern on the sheet

 The sound maker thing.

My mom bought these little boots for Maylee they are way too cute! I can't wait to put them on her!

While shopping in Spokane I got the last minute stuff I've been needing like binkies and baby lotion, desitin, baby wash and baby powder. here are the cute binkies I picked out. The purple and green set at the top of the picture are Nuk 0-2M size which is a new size since my last baby and will probably work even better than the 0-6 size the first 2 months since their mouths are just so little.

 0-6 binkies

and these super cute flower binkies! They only had them in the larger size but I had to get them!
And here's the rhinestone binky I bought maylee on Etsy from https://www.etsy.com/shop/BeccaRooni

Here's a better picture. My lighting wasn't good when I took pictures of it the other night. I asked her to add the bow to the binky ring and I LOVE it so much! So dang cute! Definitely worth the splurge just don't tell my husband how much I spent on that binky lol

It came in this cute pink bag.

So I've finally packed my hospital bag! Or rather my hospital backpack. When I had Landon I packed a whole small duffle bag but after 3 kids I've learned what I need and what I don't.

1.    Complete outfit for hubby. we live 30mins from the hospital so it's not like he can just run home and change if he needed too and I like him to stay with me as much as possible anyway. Also If I go into labor during the day he could be in his work clothes and covered in dirt or grease or oil.
2.    Going home outfit for me= Yoga pants, nursing bra, and a shirt I can easily pull down and nurse in. The key here for me is comfort I don't want anything squeezing me after I've had a baby so I make sure to be maternity clothes still. With Landon I brought pre pregnancy clothes to go home in. So not comfy I changed as soon as we got home.
 3.   This time around I'm bring this waist slimmer with me. With Drake last time my stomach just felt like my guts fell out and I felt kinda sick and all I wanted to do was hug a pillow so this time around I'm bringing this with me to help hold me together and solve that problem haha
4.   This is what I pack in my makeup bag.
 Deodorant for Lee and I
razor and hair gel for lee
baby oil (i use it as a makeup  remover)
mascara, eyeliner, coverup, chapstick and blush ( i look so pale after having a baby that the blush is a must)
mini shampoo and conditioner ( the hospital has soap but my hair needs conditioner and real shampoo)
I make sure to have an extra hair tie and an extra pair of earrings ( I hate not having earrings in it just bugs me. especially in pictures)
I also bring a pair of nursing pads just in case. My milk usually doesn't come in until a day or two later but ya never know.
And for baby I buy the mini travel pack of johnson and johnson stuff and I pull out the baby powder, desitin and baby lotion and put them in my bag. The hospital has a whole pack of diapers and wipes in the room so I don't worry about packing that stuff and bringing it.

Also I do bring toothbrushes and tooth paste for Lee and I. I just go to the dollar store and pick an extra set up for us which I haven't done yet. But the hospital does provide one if I forget it.

Also the hospital has lots and lots and lots of the biggest pads ever so you won't have to bring your own and you get to take all the extra home with you. while I'm in the hospital I just wear the gowns they have and the mesh undies they give you lol I don't change into my own clothes until it's time to go home (I don't see the point when your bleeding so much. Might as well save your own clothes for later instead of getting ruined. And then when it is time I just wear my own (preferably) black and cheap underwear I can throw away if necessary. ( I change back into G's once I get home.)

For maylee I'm bring this hospital hat! She'll wear it while we're at the hospital ( I usually am only there a day but with Landon it was 2 days) I don't change my babies until we're ready to leave. It's just easier and I don't have to worry about them ruining clothes or having to get them dressed and undressed during our stay so the nurses can check vitals when they need too and what not.they just stay nice and bundled up in a blanket anyways.

5.   Maylee's going home outfit! I couldn't decided on a headband so I finally got Lee to pick one and he Picked the middle one :) Don't forget mittens for baby! I always forget them and of course baby always scratches their little face.

6.  I always bring a cute little blankey and burp cloth with us. My kids are always spitting up clear fluid after their born so the burp cloth is a must. Also our hospital has asked that we leave behind their blankets and shirts that they put on the baby so bringing my own blanket for baby when it's time to leave is a must.

Maylee's binky and little bracelet that she'll be wearing home :) Having a girl is way too much fun. I'm loving all the accessorizing already!

And that is all I bring with me! I like to keep it simple and also only fill half of my bag so when it's time to leave and we get to take everything in the room home some of it will fit back into the backpack. plus Lee is much happier to only have to carry around a backpack rather than a big duffle bag or more lol

Oh also, DON'T FORGET the most important things!
* CAMERA and CAMERA CHARGER
*PHONE CHARGER + PHONE
*WALLET

Also if you can pre register at your hospital I definitely suggest doing that! Otherwise you'll be in labor trying to work through contractions and they'll be asking you a million and one questions to get you checked in. Sooooo not fun and just beyond obnoxious. Been there done that and this time I'm preregistering.

In other baby prepping news the carseat arrived yesterday!!! So excited when I checked the tracking number that it said it was arriving a whole day early!
The boys all excited to get it open!
Here it is! and it came with a chicco binky haha They're actually shaped like a NUK binky so I might actually use it.

Tada! all ready to go! Call me crazy but took all the covers off and washed the entire thing. haha it just smelt like new plastic and chemicals so I couldn't help myself. i washed it on the delicate cycle with the baby dreft laundry soap and now it smells amazing :) I just air dried it before putting it back together again :)

Here's the carseat cover! I made this several years ago and it didn't sell on Etsy so now I get to use it! I don't have the energy to make her one that matches her crib bedding and I like this one anways lol the top is flannel so it'll keep her warm when we leave the hospital. Hopefully Lee gets the car cleaned out at work today so we can install her carseat in the car!

Also last night I got lee to put up the curtains in Maylee's room! I love them! they're hot pink adn have cute rosettes along the top and they're a fun silky fabric. :) Well I need to go clean my Kitchen now. The Missionaries are coming over for dinner tonight. Can't wait to post more baby stuff! I still have several projects to get done before she arrives!

First day of school!

I can't believe I have a kindergartner! Where has the time gone?!

He was so excited to go to school! He's been asking me for the last month if it was time to go to school yet. Then this morning I went to wake him up (which usually takes a bit of nagging) and he popped right up ready to get dressed and go to school haha. I'm excited for him to be in school but I miss him already! It's weird only having 2 kids at home!

Landon gets to go to Kindergarten on Tuesday and Thursdays from 8-3pm and Friday afternoons 11:10-1:40. I can't wait to pick him up after school and see how much he liked his first day!

I love how his backpack is as big as him :) lol

37 weeks!

Here's the belly at 37 weeks! only 20 days left until my due date!!!
We're getting so excited to meet our little girl we can hardly stand it! I have a feeling she is going to come early but that might just be me and wishful thinking lol Lee thinks she'll be here next week! I guess we'll see! I still feel like I have a lot to get ready before she arrives mostly cleaning stuff but whenever she decides to arrive she just needs to wait until the carseat arrives. It should be getting to us this Thursday!

Still haven't packed my hospital bag but I'm going to do that soon too!

I've got all of Maylee's newborn and 0-3M clothes all washed up and they smell so good! I used the baby laundry detergent called Dreft. It's the best :) I also got all of her blankets and towels and wash rags washed up and ready for her to use! I'm hoping to get most everything else on my to do list done by this weekend so I can get it out of the way and stop stressing over it! We shall see how much of it gets done.

Overall still feeling good! Just ready to have a baby in my arms instead of kicking my ribs at 10:00pm haha

Spokane Trip!

We got to take a vacation last week! Monday afternoon (8/18) we left on our way to Spokane. It took longer than normal because there was soooo much construction! drove us crazy! and then there was a crazy wreck that closed traffic on I-90 in both directions! We came upon the wreck later so we got detoured around it but there was a ton of cars backed up in both directions. Anyway so we go into spokane around 9:30pm so Tuesday was our first full day at my parents.

 Landon found a Turkey feather!

Zeke and his batman hoodie that GG got him haha

 messy face drake
 Lee

Tuesday afternoon we went to the Lake where my dad works (Loon Lake)
Drake was having a blast finding rocks and throwing them in the water.

Landon and Zeke with Lee. Landon got pretty good at swimming on his own with his life jacket.

The only picture we have of me at the lake haha The water felt so good it was the perfect temperature.

Landon playing in the sand

 Zeke in the sand

Drake playing in the water. He liked swishing his hands around in it and splashing.

Drake being so serious. I could not get him to smile for the camera but he was having fun lol

 Burying Landon in the sand!

Drake getting Landon while he was buried haha

 Snack break! Mmmm pudding!
We went to the lake a total of 3 times. one of the days there was a bunch of seagulls and ducks around the beach and all Drake wanted to do was chase them. It was cute for the first couple minutes but I got tired of chasing after him haha

(8/23) was Tawny's wedding day!!! Landon was really excited to go to the Spokane temple and go inside! He's always asking to go inside the temple so it was the perfect opportunity to get to take him inside the foyer and waiting area.
Landon being cute on the Temple grounds.

Our attempts at a family picture....These were the best two and they're not great but it could be worse haha

Family picture with GG and Popa! My sister came to the temple with us so she could watch the boys for me while we went in for Tawny's sealing. We're just missing my brother and Lauren and Sophie in this picture but we got some family pictures with my brother and Sophie too at Tawny's reception (Lauren had to work). Can't wait to see how those turned out :)

Boys being cute waiting for the bride and groom to come out!

 Here they come!

I like this picture I got of them in front of the temple with the angel moroni :) This was the only angle I could get to get both them and the steeple in the picture :)

 Reception time!
The delicious cupcakes Brenna made! They were ALL soooo good!
 The tent and tables!
The center pieces! They turned out sooo cute! My mom was in charge of putting these together and they turned out great! So elegant and pretty! Way to go mom :)

 The kids' favorite spot

hahaha my sister photo bombing my picture of the kids on the tramp lol I love Drake's face and how he's looking at her like she's nuts lol

Sophie girl! These were the best pictures I got of her she refuses to look at you when you say her name so the fact that I got one of her looking in my direction was amazing haha and asking her to smile is just asking too much lol

Dancing the night away!

overall we had a great week in Spokane it was full of Shopping ( I got all the rest of the stuff I needed before baby comes except the carseat which I had to order online and it is on it's way) and weddings ( we went to a family friends wedding reception friday night then Tawny got married saturday and I had a cousin on my dads side who also got married saturday. We headed back home Sunday morning and got home around 6pm. Now we're just getting back into our routine at home and getting ready for Landon to start school Thursday!  I can't believe he's going to be in Kindergarten!
